so i'm never marrying someone who handles anger like my father...

this trip to land of 10,000 lakes has been rather interesting...

we met my dad's cous, suzy, who we stayed with most of this trip. she is a little out there, which at first was like "WOAH" but its what i've grown to love about her. she relates very well to judy and i both.

on thursday, the four of us (the rents, mooch, and i) went to the mall of america and did a little (ok, a lot) of shopping and rode the coasters and log jam. that night, i finally got ahold of alissa but didn't tell her i was there. instead we stopped by her house and i surprise visited. omg it was the best look ever. the expression on her face reminded me more of why i love to surprise my friends!

the next day the five of us (w/ suzy) went to a little town called stillwater, mn. absolutely beautiful little town. right on the st. croix river overlooking wisconsin. met a cute boy named mike that worked there and wants to be a photographer. did some more shopping. came back and relaxed.

saturday, i went to brunch at panera with lisser and had fun conversing. then i got a hair consultation while waiting for my fam to show up at this one store. after shopping a little, we went to the st. paul science museum and the cathedral for mass. after that we went to this italian place called cosetta's. everyone there said it was great; it was just alright in my opinion.

then today, i got up and went to this sculpture garden and art festival where i saw BREATHTAKING art, not to mention a cute artist. he had this one piece that drew me in and screamed "VERONICA" and he started talking to me about it. i don't know what it was about this guy but i was deeply fascinated. i signed up for his mailing list and after finding out i was from ks ("my condolences") he offered to show me his studio "by private appointment only." "we could do dinner, drink, and listen to music." sounds great to me! one prob: i do live away, i don't know how old you are either. late 20's, early 30's. but my he was a looker (in my books, kinda like owen wilson with a better nose and darker hair). anyways after that we traveled up to duluth, right on lake superior, while stopping at a rue 21 to do more shopping (i'm gonn have clothes for school all right) and got into fights with padre about food, go figure. now im writing this after trying to look up the artist's site that he gave me and instead finding things that may show him to have other jobs, married, 2 kids. same email. hmmmmmm. oh well. i want JUMP.

i was going to hang out with jonah on this trip but due to him working, that didn't happen. poop. oh well.

i also dropped out of welcome week and freshman seminar due to that the coordinators were going to refuse to let me get out of a day to go to pat and jamie's wedding reception. although now that i've been able to check my mail, there may be a way for me to do both. it seems they be more willing to let me out for it. we'll see tomorrow.

for now i'm going to bed. i have a full day in duluth and on the lake before heading back. later!
